Finding Prints by Artist/Catalogue #

To access information by catalogue number from the artist window, click on the appropriate speed button or choose Search by Artist/Catalogue # from the Menu Bar. This brings up a window with a small list box to the right of the artists name, and to the left of the larger summary/detail window. This lists all of the artists prints by catalogue number and page number in ascending alphabetical and numerical order.

To find the catalogue raisonne you wish to select, you can scroll up or down this window, use the page up, page down keys, or enter the catalogue number (MM for example) in the Catalogue Number Box (located at the top of the Catalogue Raisonne Window) and click on the Go button in the Catalogue Raisonne Window (or hit the enter key). More catalogue raisonns may be available than those that are currently displayed in the window. Clicking the ">>" button, if available, will take you to the next set of catalogue raisonnes. Clicking the "<<" button, if available, will take you to the previous screen.

There is a certain assumption that you know the main catalogue of the artist whose titles you are seeking, and the exact catalogue number, if you use this feature.

If you want to “browse” catalogue raisonnes alphabetically, just type in the alphabetical letter (e.g. C) and the program will take you to the first catalogue raisonne with a catalogue number starting with that letter (in this example, the Cs).

Once you locate the catalogue number in the list window, click on the number. This will bring up all the prints in the database by that artist with that catalogue number, with all the information and features identical to those found in the Title window.

PLEASE NOTE: When a different artist is selected, the window type currently being accessed (either title or catalogue number) will be the window displayed for the next artist. That is, if one is using the catalogue raisonné number window and a new artist is chosen by clicking on the new artist's name, the catalogue window for the new artist will appear, not the title window.
